„Mr. Nightmare and the Blessings of Progress“ is a love story.

And it is a story about filmmaking.

And it is a story about finding love through lilmmaking.

And – let it be understood – all of that during night shift!

Mr. Nightmare is the best of his profession: every night he delivers his nightmares to people’s dreams. Punctually and reliably. Night in and night out.

Every now and then he treat himself with a little break at the Scum-Bar and enjoys a drink acquaintances like Neurosis and Phobia. And sometimes he meets Insomnia, the sweet sleeplessness, his secret love – but every single time his sense of duty regarding his work.

But one day a new opportunity in form of an electric salesman shows up: the movie! As inner cinema! Wide screen! As repetition and with a lot of mass appeal!

Right away Mr. Nightmare takes the chance and with enthusiasm he enters the world of new media: screenplay, direction, editing, building up a broadcast center and his brand new nightmarenet goes on air!
